Sheila
is a Gong Therapist & Sound Healer with a musical
background, having originally trained as a violinist
at the Royal College of Music in London. She had a
thriving career in the mainstream classical music
world, playing professionally & teaching for nearly
twenty years before pursuing a more alternative holistic
route with sound & music. Nowadays her musical
abilities are utilized for chanting & giving Sound
Healing & Gong therapy treatments, workshops &
concerts. Sheila did her Sound Healing training with
Simon Heather, principal of the College of Sound Healing.
She has continued to study with other emminent teachers
including Jill Purce & Don Conreaux, & is
a member of the UK Sound Healers' Association, &
a tutor for the College
of Sound Healing. She continues to research,
teach, work & perform within this extensive &
fascinating world of sound. Sheila is also a member
of Brighton-based band IndigoEye
, performing on violin, Gongs, harmonium & vocals.
She also leads Jayadeva
- emerging Brighton-based chanting group, performing
chants from all spiritual traditions.

Several
years ago Sheila began training as a Reiki practitioner to
further develop her healing skills. She completed her Master
Level training in 2004 with traditional Reiki Master/Teacher
Hjalmar Jonsson, one of the founder members of the Reiki Association.
Sheila
is also a Shamanic practitioner in the Peruvian Inka tradition

HEALING : Sheila is available for Sound
Healing consultations using chant, toning & overtoning
with the voice, tuning forks, violin, & Master quality
Himalayan singing bowls. The aim of the sessions is to stimulate
the body’s own healing mechanism, release inner blocks,
balance the chakras (subtle energy centres), & still the
mind, inducing an overall feeling of calmness & well-being.

REIKI : Reiki treatments are available on a separate
basis - please see Reiki page
for more details. These are powerful hands-on healing sessions
in which the Reiki practitioner acts as a channel for the
Universal life force energy which is present in each one of
us. This energy, or Ki, is drawn through the Reiki practitioner
to wherever it is needed in the body, & healing takes
place on all levels – physical, mental, emotional &
spiritual. 1st & 2nd degree Reiki courses also available

VOICEMAGIC
: Sheila particularly enjoys chanting, & specialises in
chanting in the powerful Sanskrit language, said to be the
language of the Gods. Her work in this field comes under the
umbrella of Voicemagic
