INTRODUCTORY GONG WORKSHOPS 2012 "SOUND HEALING WITH GONGS" SATURDAY March 10th 2012 - Eastcott Barn, Sheldon, Devon SATURDAY June 30th 2012 - Eastcott Barn, Sheldon, Devon 10am to 5pm, cost £75 These workshops are an introduction to the teachings of the gong. This will be a first-level workshop on the use of Gongs for Sound Healing, & please note this day-workshop is not part of the new College Gong Practitioner training. It is for those who are interested in learning about the healing and esoteric uses of the gong. It is expected that participants' experience & awareness will vary somewhat. Thus the day will be tailored to suit the group, & tuition will be given on gong-playing techniques & related subjects. ONE-TO-ONE GONG TREATMENT WORKSHOP - NEW FOR 2012
Saturday May 12th 2012 - Eastcott Barn, Sheldon, Devon 10am to 5pm, cost £75 Open to those who are already gong players - this workshop is not for complete beginners (see Introductory Gong Workshops, above). This is a new workshop for this year, designed to assist gong practitioners who wish to brush up their knowledge & abilities in treating clients on a one-to-one basis. The whole day will be spent on this subject, covering the various ways in which one-to-one sessions can be conducted. We will work in various scenarios : use of different sized spaces, using one, two & multiple gongs, client on floor, couch or chair, etc. By the end of this one-day workshop you should have the skill & confidence to treat clients in most circumstances. TWO-DAY GONG INTENSIVE

The two-day Gong Intensive is an immersion in the Gong teachings for a whole weekend. This weekend Intensive is open to beginners & current gong players alike, as appropriate tuition will be given according to your level of ability, & diverse gong-related subjects covered. There will be opportunity to use many of the different high quality gongs in Sheila’s collection, & practise various techniques. We will also cover other instruments used in the Gongbath, & come together to give a gong meditation. CHANT/MANTRA & HARMONIUM WORKSHOP
Saturday May 26th 2012 - Eastcott Barn, Sheldon, Devon. This is a one-day workshop from 10am to 5pm, cost £75, venue - Eastcott Barn, Sheldon, near Honiton, East Devon. This workshop is a combined chant/mantra & harmonium workshop - we will concentrate on chant & mantra in the morning session, & an introduction to the harmonium in the afternoon. It is suitable for those who are interested in the power of chant and mantra, both for use in sound healing, & as part of a spiritual practice. It is suitable for all - whether seasoned chanters or novices, as the day will be structured to suit the group. In the afternoon session it will help if you already have some knowledge of the piano keyboard, but this is not essential, as tuition will be given. Simple music and handouts will be provided so that practise can continue at home. Numbers will be limited so that individual attention can be given to participants. The aim is that everyone will be able to accompany themselves on the harmonium in at least one simple chant by the end of the day. HARMONIUM WORKSHOPS Harmonium Level 1
SATURDAY June 16th 2012 - Eastcott Barn, Sheldon, Devon This will be a one-day workshop from 10am to 5pm, cost £75. This workshop is for beginners on the harmonium. Sheila has developed this unique workshop to meet an obvious need for people who want to learn to play the harmonium (miniature organ) to accompany chanting. It helps if you already have some knowledge of the piano keyboard, but this is not essential, as tuition will be given. Basic music will be provided to enable students to continue their practise at home. This workshop will also include work with the smaller & more basic brother of the harmonium – the Sruti box. Harmonium Level 2
TBA - in East Devon. This is a one-day workshop from 10am to 5pm, cost £75, which will be arranged at a later date if there is a demand. This workshop is for those who have done Stage 1, &/or already have some experience with the harmonium & are using it to accompany their chanting practice. REIKI COURSES
As a Traditional Reiki Master Sheila teaches both 1st & 2nd degree Reiki courses according to time & demand. This year, due to other committments, we have scheduled one 1st Degree & one 2nd Degree course during the year.
Reiki 1 (1st Degree)
Sat & Sun April 28th & 29th 2012 - East Devon 10am to 5pm each day. Cost £125. Participants must attend both days.
Reiki 1 is for your own personal use & to treat family & friends (& pets!). It includes information on the history of Reiki (as we know it), tuition on hand positions for treating self & others, the Reiki principles, guidance on the use of Reiki, & other relevant topics. The four attunements will be given spaced evenly throughout this weekend course, which will enable you to bring Reiki into your life as a healing tool. Reiki is simple & subtle but very powerful! Reiki 2 (2nd Degree)

The Reiki 2 or 2nd Degree course will take your Reiki & ability to use it to a higher level. The two attunements you will receive during the weekend will step up the energy & enable it to flow more strongly through you. You will also be given tools which can be used to send Reiki over time & distance for absent healing, & to enhance your Reiki practise. Reiki 2 is essential if you are planning to treat others outside your immediate circle or professionally.
